headshotPINIMAGEMy name is Michelle Thibodeaux. I’m 34 years old and I have an amazing husband (Lance) and two kids, Maddox (8 years old) and Mallory (5 years old). They are the reason I have this camera in my hand.

I love capturing moments in peoples lives, including my own. Pictures have meant so much to me all of my life. I love capturing a memory that you can have and look back at and share for years to come. I’ve chosen to focus my work on newborns, babies, children and families…these are my favorite parts of life for sure! My children are my life and babies have always made me smile.

Meeting new clients and making new friends is one of my favorite parts of this work. I especially love little friends who want to hold my hand, call me Mrs. Michelle, and come back year after year to spend a fun little session with me. Watching my little clients grow and change and become the little people is an honor.

I graduated college in 2005 with a degree in Interior Design. I worked for a local architecture firm doing commercial interiors for the past 8 years.  I first picked up a “real” camera in 2008 when my son was about a year old. After much practice and determination, I began offering sessions to my close friends and family. Soon after, MDesign Photography, as we know it, began to come to life. It was amazing to see and experience this growth in myself and my business. At the end of 2014, I made a huge decision to leave my full-time interior design career and focus my time on my photography career and my family. It was a very intimidating and scary decision, but God always leads us on the paths where we belong. This has never been more true for me. I enjoy photography and the freedom of my own business more and more each day. Thanks to my amazing family and my amazing clients and friends!

I absolutely love vacation and I dream about it all year long and strive to take at least 3 trips to the ocean each year. It’s definetly my happy place!

If I have a bad day or I just need a pick me up, I head out for a little retail therapy!

A latte is the cure for anything, tired, hungry, sad, happy, bored….anything can be cured with a good latte! Plus it helps me stay up to edit!

Truth be told, we eat a lot of chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese at our house for dinners, I’m not a chef at all!! But I sure enjoy a nice night out at a great restaurant with good food that would never come out of my house!

Everywhere I go, every moment of the day I feel like I’m thinking ‘could I use that for pictures’, ‘what dress should Mallory wear next’, ‘what would be perfect for Maddox’, ‘oooh, look at this random building, I want to do a session here’….it’s in my brain, in my blood and on my mind!!!!
